In translation, the error message says that you cannot use a MovieClip object as a TextField object. I'm guessing you are applying text pattern on a movie clip. Text patterns can only be applied on text fields (text pattern names begin with "FET"), but symbol patterns can be applied on movie clips and text fields too. Make FlashEff work on multiple scenes - 15 years ago
The attached file contains an example of how to use FlashEff with multiple scenes animations. If you create your animations with FlashEff instances placed directly on the stage together with their target objects (text fields, sprites, movie clips) then the animations from the Scene 1 will work without problems but the animations from all the other scenes will no longer work. Import path for FlashEff patterns - 15 years ago
Here is the import path for each of the FlashEff patterns, in case you need to use them by code (remember that the preset you use by code still has to be found in the Library). If you would like to apply a second effect on the movie clip containing the effect on the text field, then you need to be careful with the symbol patterns you use. If you apply symbol patterns that use BitmapData than the effect will not work because it makes a snapshot of the target clip (just before the text effect is applied, when there is nothing displayed) and applies the symbol effect (whicby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

You can only apply text effects on text fields and not on movie clips. But you can apply symbol effects on text fields. If you would like to turn the text field into a movie clip, you can do it, but you need to apply the effect directly on the text field, so you have to place the FlashEff instance inside that movie clip too.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Target object (text or graphic) flashes once, just before the animation starts - in case of a Flash clip that has only one frame. This problem seems to occur only on Mac OS because when tested on Windows, the animations work fine. Our recommendation is to place the FlashEff instances and their target objects on the second frame (not on frame 1) and then use a stop() function to stop the playheby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

It seems that this problem occurs only on Mac because on Windows it works just fine (tested on several browsers on Mac and Windows). The most probable cause is that Flash player does not manage to initialize the component on the very first frame and that's why it flashes just before the animation starts. We recommend placing the FlashEff instance and the target on the second frame and use a stop(by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

As mentioned previously, the component does not generate that file size, the embedded text does. TxEff works on the same principles as FlashEff and it too needs embedded text for it to work. So changing the component to TxEff would not change drastically the file size. Instead, you could try create several smaller sized banner containing only one text field, banners that would be then sequentiallby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

As you can see on the component's help web page, the preset property is not among the component's properties, this is why it has no effect when you set it. The preset is a property of the patterns, so in order to set it you'll need to access the show or hide pattern you use. In the file you sent us on the support mail the images, the FlashEff component and the FlashEff patterns are less than 90k. The one thing that increases your file size is the text. You have 8 text fields there and all of them embed the font. Embedding fonts into the flash clip increases its file size, however you need font embedding, otherwise FlashEff animations would not run on text. Please make sure you have added enough frames to your FlashEff animations. For example, in case your flash movie has a frame rate of 30 fps, you would need 60 frames for a 2 seconds animation.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Please make sure you removed from the library all the unnecessary items (graphics, movie clips and FlashEff patterns you don't use). It is possible to get to that file size because of FlashEff and FlashEff patterns. Unfortunately we can't tell you more until you send us your source file. The tweenDuration property does not exist on the FlashEff component. Instead you need to access the tweenDuration property from the pattern object. You can access the pattern instance using the component's showTransition or hideTransition properties, depending on what type of transition you use. Besides removing those movie clips from the timeline, you also need to remove the FlashEff instances too or call removeAll() on the FlashEff instances, on the last frame where the target object is located.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

I've tried out that effect and it seems that the FlashEff panel imported it without problems. Please try again this operation and make sure that Adobe Flash is not blocked by any firewalls. Also make sure that you Internet connection is not breaking up. Another solution would be to make this operation using only the FlashEff panel: browse the gallery, select the effect you like and press the Impby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
