The only way to export your effect is to publish it to the FlasgEff gallery. Only from there, your co-worker will be able to import it with FlashEff. My advice to you is to try to reinstall the component. First, uninstall the component you have and then reinstall it. It could be a problem of component installation by the Extension Manager.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

This is because Flash doesn't allow fonts that large. It allows a maximum font size of about 150. However, you can solve the problem by scaling the text field (change the scaleX and scaleY values), since everything it's vectorial.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

I've spotted the problem. The FlashEff component is a ActionScript 3.0 component which means it only works in Flash files exported for Flash Player 9 and ActionScript 3.0 (Publish Settings). In your screenshot of the Flash IDE, the new .fla file created has publish settings for Flash Player 6 and ActionScript 1.0. This is why none of the components show up in the Components panel. You need a FlashEff instance attached to each movie clip for which you want the NavigateToURL command and the FlashEff instance does not have to be placed inside the movie clip in which you apply the SwitchObject command. The task is quite simple: select the FlashEff component instance from the stage together with its target object (text field or movie clip) and convert them to a symbol (movie clip). It depends on how your preloader works. If you load your animations .swf file into another .swf file (the preloader in this case) you should check to see if the FlashEff component and FlashEff pattern have the "Export for ActionScript" and "Export in first frame" options enabled. 1. The problem was that the font was not embedded. I embedded the font and the animations were working. 2. You can apply FlashEff animations over other FlashEff animations (the FlashEff component allows that), but that depends on the patterns you use. It is possible that for some pattern combinations, the resulting animation will look weird or there will be nothing showing up. We cannot generaby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the text animations will run on absolutely every font there is. We have tested them with quite a number of fonts and usually the animations work without problems and the text looks unaltered. Due to the large number of fonts out there, especially unique, artistic fonts, we cannot test the animations on all of them and have them work properly, so it's up to tby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

If you use the pattern from the code, you need to place that pattern (and all of the pattern you use) into the Library first. Just drag them from the Components panel on the Library panel.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Yes, you can set the FlashEff instance from the panel and then start it "manually" by code. All you have to do is to set the autoPlay property of the pattern to false (uncheck the autoPlay property from the Show tab -> Options tab or Hide tab -> Options tab). Once you do that, the FlashEff instance is set up but it will not start automatically. Then you can call myEffect.show() orby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

The FlashEff component does not have any method called play. If you look at the list of methods the component supports, you'll find the show() and hide() methods. These will start the corresponding transition (show or hide) on the target symbol or text field. The show() method can be used only if there is a show effect applied on the object and the hide() method can be used only if there is a hidby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

The only problem with your file was that it was missing to FlashEff patterns from the Library: FETBlur and FETXYResolve. Once I placed them in the Library, the clip worked just fine. Also, the ActionScript 3.0 error message that appears at the beginning, it means that you have some objects on the stage that you have attached code to (some green buttons). The free version does not have a time limit you can use it any time you want. The difference between the free and the premium version is the number of FlashEff patterns: the free version is limited to 30 patterns and the premium version has access to all the patterns.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

We have tested FlashEff on several types of font, font faces and font sizes and it worked without problems. Also tested with a font size of 160 and it had no problems with it. You can do that easily from the panel. Go to the gallery, select the pattern you like and press Import. After that, the Import wizard will show you the list of patterns (show patterns, hide patterns, filters and so on) the effect is made of. From that list you can choose what to import. You can leave the show pattern selected and uncheck the hide pattern (if the effect contains a hide pattern).by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
