Re: Dynamic Text Layer Error - 14 years ago
5005 and 5003 errors can be resolved very simple. Select the component and the target and put them into a new symbol(F8). This usually appear when there are too many FlashEff2 components in one stage.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: FlashEff transitions not showing, and browser crashing (all) - 14 years ago
I understand your frustration but before I see the files I can't point out the problem. There are a bunch of things that might have caused the crashes (eg: other components working simultaneously). Please open a ticket and one of the guys in tech support will look at your files and fix them for you. -Ionut.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: • Use FlashEff with dynamic gallery, concrete example??? - 14 years ago
If you change the pattern you will need to import it. if you want to use clouds, use: com.jumpeye.flashEff2.symbol.clouds.FESClouds This should do the trick. -Ionut.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: how to fade 2 blocks of text together? - 14 years ago
Make sure you embed both text of the textfields. If the last line of text is not shown make the textfield bigger(increase the height of the textfield). To make on appear after another set the delay of the second one to be the same or bigger than the tween duration of the first animation. If I didn't make my self clear enough please let me know and I'll try to come up with a bigger explination.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: Starting/Ending Effects... - 14 years ago
You have a delay setting that you can use to delay the show effect or the hide effect. If you are using a timeline make sure that is big enough. You'll have to do some math, for example, if you have the frame per second set to 30 and your animation takes 2 second you will need 60 frames. Add another 60 frames if you have a 2 second delay and so on. But if you say you are a beginner I would suggby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: • How could I use an effect in a dynamic portfolio? - 14 years ago
The FlashEff1 package is not available anymore, but we do have FlashEff2 on sale so you might want to pick that up.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: blurry text - 14 years ago
I'm not sure. After the effect is done the target has to go back to the initial state. What patterns are you using?by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: FECCallfunction : how to use ? - 14 years ago
FECCallFunctions works like all ordinary functions. In the first parameter field you will have to write your function name (for example gotoAndStop) and in the second you will have to write the parameters for that function (for example "1").by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Re: FlashEff2 Private Beta - 14 years ago
We (the dev team) are thinking of implementing a simple frame calculator in the panel, but right now you'll have to do some math to figure out how many frames you need. For example if you have a fla that is set at 30 fps and your animation without delay is 2 seconds long you'll have to put 60 frames 30 frames per second * 2 seconds. If you have a delay of one second you will need another 30 framby Ionut - News
Re: blurry images and text - 14 years ago
Hi, I've tested it opera and firefox and it worked fine for me. No bluring or anything else. Make sure you have latest version of Flash Player or test it with different browsers. If it doesn't work then let me know and we will try something else. -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: CANNOT SEE EFX IN SCENES - 14 years ago
Hi mentality, I find it hard to believe that is easier to work with scenes instead of just adding a bunch of frames on the timeline. I tried to create banners with scenes using FlashEff and FlashEff2 and it worked for most of the times. Please note that when using multiple FlashEff components you might get the 5000, 5002 or 50005 error. To avoid this please copy the component and it's targetby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: How do I add a preloader to Flash Eff 2.0 - 14 years ago
Here is what I think, the most simple way to preload a FlashEff2 Clip. I'll try to explain what I did. I created a fla file, I drawen tha preloader, added some events listeners to a loader and then created another Fla file that would export a swf which will be preloaded. I probablly didn't make any sense but it will be all very clear once you look at the files attached. Here is the link. Donby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: ReferenceError: Error #1065: "some effect" is not defined. = Nightmare! - 14 years ago
The 5005 error appears when FlashEff2 component is used inside a file that is based on a large amount of frames. To avoid this from happening select each component and it's target and hit F8 to create a new symbol.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Loop animation - 14 years ago
You can loop your animation by a creating enough frames. For example if you set your frame rate to 30 fps then you would need 60 frames for 2 seconds of animation.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Dynamic text field content lost after first play - 14 years ago
Let me get this straight, you have a text field in which you feed text dynamically and when you try to change on text to another it keeps showing you the original text, right? If this is what you are saying, it's probably because you are using a pattern that takes a snapshot(bitmapdata) of your text before it starts animating. What you can do in this situation is to remove the effect using compby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: duplicating movieclip - 14 years ago
This is a quite from the FAQ thread from the FlasHEff2 forum, you should check it from time to time because some problems that the FLashEff2 users have can be similar to the FlashEff users. Q: I'm using FlashEff to navigate on frames but the target keeps duplicating. A: This happens when FlashEff doesn't remember it's target references, to avoid this select the component and the target and crby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: movie clips with FlashEff 2 not going away when moving to different frame - 14 years ago
That option is still not availible in the new version but there is a way to fix this. Using FECCallFunction, call a function that you will write in your panel. That function will execute the following code: parent.gotoAndPlay(yourFrame); Let me know if this works out for you.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: movie clips with FlashEff 2 not going away when moving to different frame - 14 years ago
The easiest way to fix this is to select the component and the target and put it into a movieclip(when selected press F8). If this doesn't work, please open a ticket with our support team.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: Effect start at MouseOver <-> end at MouseOut! HOW? - 14 years ago
The problem from your file(my example) is that the target's visibility was set to false while the images had alpha 0. The fastest way to fix this is: Copy the target(Ctrl + c) Paste it in the excat same place(ctrl+Shift+v) Give it different instance name- maskMC Set it's alpha to be 0. Open the actions panel and do the following changes: maskMC.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, doTby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Using FlashEff where text already has filters applied - 14 years ago
In some cases it would work. Try this first: Apply your filters on a movieclip, then put that movieclip into a new one. Then drag the component over the new MC and apply the FlashEff Filters. Let me know if it works.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Using FlashEff where text already has filters applied - 14 years ago
Some effects included in FlashEff2 are created by using a bitmap data, which takes a snapshot of the initial picture. The entire FlashEff effect is created on that snapshot and your initial picture is hidden, that's why the filters that you have added before applying the animation can't be seen in the final image. Hope this clarifies things, -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: hide() through button click - can't delay? - 14 years ago
You could use the timer class. Or if you want the hide animation to start after another pattern has finished animation you could create a listener for the end event and when it's triggered just start the hide animation. Hope this helps. -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
