Re: LOOPING THROUGH XML DYNAMICALLY - 14 years ago
1. You don't need a timer to set the delay between hide and show. FlashEff has a delay setting that you can change to do that exact thing. 2. Make sure that you are starting the show effect only after the picture has finished loading. You will need to listen to the load.complete event on the loader and only then start the show transition. Hope this helps, -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Access presets via AS3 - 14 years ago
Hi, Try this: import FlashEff2Code; import com.jumpeye.flashEff2.text.emerge.FETEmerge; myText.text = "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog with some stuff in it's mouth blah blah"; var effect:FlashEff2Code = new FlashEff2Code(); addChild(effect); var showEffect:FETEmerge = new FETEmerge(); showEffect.preset = 3;//Would expect '3' to be 'Color2CenterDown' showEffect.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Buttons current Status?? - 14 years ago
Hi, No, right now you can't have any states but we are working on a new version that will allow this. We will provide more info about this new feature soon so stay tuned for more info. -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Effects on pics, how? - 14 years ago
1. TxEff is for text only. 2. The link you have posted is from FlashEff, our new product that allows users to easily create animations for text, pictures, buttons and much more. More info about FlashEff2: - Ionut.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Access presets via AS3 - 14 years ago
Yes, you are right, the presets are numbers, some patterns have 4 presets some have 55 presets so it's better if you look in the panel first. To use a pattern from code you should do something like this: import FlashEff2Code; import com.jumpeye.flashEff2.symbol.slide.FESSlide; var effect:FlashEff2by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Simple FECCallFunction issue? - 14 years ago
FlashEff only allows you to call one function at a time but you can trick it. Heres what you'll do: On the frame that has FlashEff press F9 and create a new function, let's call it: twoFunctions And this function you will call your other 2 functions that you wanted to call through FlashEff. Then go to the FlashEff panel and call twoFunctions. Hope this helps, let me know if anything else comby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: gotoAndLearn Preloader and FlashEff - 14 years ago
You'll need to import the FESBlurSquares pattern in the content.swf. Open your component panel and look in the patterns folder, you'll find it there. Drag it to stage. Compile the file before trying to load it into another swf. If you are not how to drag it, just open the panel and select the pattern again and it will automatically import it. In the preloader stage you don't need anything relaby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: gotoAndLearn Preloader and FlashEff - 14 years ago
Drag the FESBlurSquare in the library. Let me know if that doesn't work. -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: Help, please, with a Deeply nested FECCallfunction - 14 years ago
I've made a small example for you. I think it's pretty self-explanatory. Here is the link to the file. Please use the FlashEff2 panel to look at the way I did called the function (go to the component and open the panel and look under Button\Command). Hope this helps. PS. if you have your timeline on the root you can also use root.gotoAndPlay() instead of parent.parent.parent.gotoAndPlay()by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Animation Snap at end - 14 years ago
That is problem that we had trouble with since we started creating animations in Flash (and we're not the only ones that have this problem). The result is basically a bad render made by Flash and has nothing to do with the component. To avoid this you can do a couple of easy things. First, make sure you have your image at fixed positions: not x: 84.3 and y: 42.9 but x: 84 and y: 43 and second makby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Struggling - I want to make images animate into each other... - 14 years ago
I don't have an example on the timeline but I can explain how it's done. Let's say you have 4 images. You want your effect to last 2 seconds on each image. When the effect is done you want to have the image displayed for another 2 seconds. Your frame rate is set to 30 FPS. For the example above you will need to have 480 frames. This is how you get that number. Each image has to have 120 frby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: Error Codes - 14 years ago
You need to have the FlashEff2Code imported in the library.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Struggling - I want to make images animate into each other... - 14 years ago
I made a similar example for someone here on the forums. You have two options, either create frames and have the pictures placed one above the others, or you could have only one frame and use the delay setting of FlashEff2. When the last picture has finished animating use the FECCallFunction pattern and write the follwing parameters: on the function line write: gotoAndPlay and on the parameterby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Import FlashEff2.0 to an AS2 Project - 14 years ago
var loadit = new Loader(); addChild(loadit); loadit.load(new URLRequest("yourSWFfile.swf")); Do the same thing when loading your other file. For example, if you want do start one animation after a certain time, just add a timer and when the action is triggered do something like this: var loadit2 = new Loader(); addChild(loadit2); loadit2.load(new URLRequest("yourOtherSWFby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Effects make files to large - 14 years ago
FlashEff2 does not add more than 23 Kb so check to see if maybe you have more than one pattern imported in the library.by Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: Import FlashEff2.0 to an AS2 Project - 14 years ago
There is one. Create a new AS3 file attach the as2 file and when you want to show the AS3 file just attach the AS3 file too. 1. Create a new AS3 file. 2. Attach as2 file and position it where you want. 3. When you want to add the AS3 file, just add it the same way you have added the AS2 file. I hope this was clear enough. -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Working with scenes - 14 years ago
Hi, We have said many times the we don't recommend using FlashEff with scenes because most of the time you lose the reference of your FlashEff component. The error that you get tells you exactly that: You lost the reference to your component. Try working with only one scene, this is the only way that we guarantee that FLashEff will work. Hope this helps. -Ionuby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: How do I add a preloader to Flash Eff 2.0 - 14 years ago
Make sure that IE has Flash Player installed. Also, make sure you have the correct embed code because Firefox is more forgiving than IE in this area and maybe thats why it works in Firefox but no IE. Let me know if it worked and if not we will find a different solution. -Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0

Re: Flash Eff to Premiere - the journey from .swf to .avi - 14 years ago
If you have a HDMI port on your TV you could connect your PC (assuming you also have an HDMI on your PC) and play the SWF. Or, you could use a capturing software to capture your animation and export it as a video. Do a google search with the terms: Screen Capture Software and you will see alot of examples most of them free.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Re: Problems with Motion Tweens - 14 years ago
Some FlashEff2 patterns work with motion tweens, but some don't(doh'). The reason why some patterns don't work is because they use bitmaps data to take a snapshot of the target and then hide your initial target showing the new one. When the animation is done the snapshot is deleted and your target is set to visible = true. Hope this helps, Ionutby Ionut - FlashEff 2.0
