Re: Looping Slideshow - Images Hang & Stop Repeating - 15 years ago
if you have only one effect that you want to loop you can use the following code: import com.jumpeye.Events.FLASHEFFEvents; fe.addEventListener(FLASHEFFEvents.TRANSITION_END, endHdl); function endHdl(evt:FLASHEFFEvents) { fe.show(); } fe is the instance name of your FlashEff component.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Effect over a movieclip dinamically created - 15 years ago
You have to wait until the image is loaded completely before you can add the effect. Create a listener to listen to the loader complete event, there you should add the effect over the image and start the transition.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Can I apply effect to MC or Sprite dynamically created? - 15 years ago
There are a few things that might cause that, but you should put the container in which the images are loaded into another container created on the stage. This way the image loaded will take the positions of newly created movieclip. For example, if you want to put the image at x=100, y=50 than create the movieclip at this position on the stage.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: what do i do? flasheff panel doenst do anything.... - 15 years ago
Make sure you select the FlashEff component on the stage. That way the panel will show you options tabs: show, hide, filter, etc.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Using Button Patterns - 15 years ago
if you have more textfields that you want to act like buttons just add another txtEffect5.buttonEffect = butPatt; txtEffect6.buttonEffect = butPatt; as many times as you like. Here is an example of a effect loaded from a document class:by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Longer tween durations (5+) - 15 years ago
Here's an idea: Before you run this code you need to have a FlashEff component on the stage and it must have the instanceName namde "fe". Put it over a movieclip and then go to the panel and select the FESSlide effect for the show effect, then just add the code below and compile. There are a bunch of other ways to do this so let me know if this does not work out for you. var pattern =by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Can I apply effect to MC or Sprite dynamically created? - 15 years ago
Hi ghitacostas, Yes, you can add the FlashEff effect on you container, although, you need to make sure your container is not empty and the image is fully loaded, only then you can add the FlashEff component otherwise you will get an error.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: FlashEff crashes Flash CS3 and CS4 - 15 years ago
We have FlashEff running on two monitors and it works flawless, I really don't know what to say about 3 monitors. But if you say the same thing is happening with Fireworks maybe it's Adobe's fault.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Can I create patterns and effects using the panel, but start and stop using actionscript? - 15 years ago
You can start the effect whenever you want from ActionScript using FlashEffInstanceName.show(); or use hide(). You can also stop the effect whenever you want by removing the effect. This can be done with the following statement: FlashEffInstanceName.removeEffect();by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: MC with FlashEff flashes for a second before animating! - 15 years ago
This problem seems to occur only on Mac OS because when tested on Windows, the animations work fine. Our recommendation is to place the FlashEff instances and their target objects on the second frame (not on frame 1) and then use a stop() function to stop the playhead on that frame (prevents Flash player from looping your clip). This way Flash player will have enough time to initialize the componby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Re: 5003 ERROR - any fixes? - 15 years ago
Hi, The solution would be to turn off Flash's ActionScript optimizer: Publish Settings -> Flash tab -> ActionScript 3.0 Settings and in the dialog box that appears simply turn off the "Reduce file size and increase performance" option. This will most probably resolve you issue. Let me know how it goes.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: FESDesertIllusion without fadeIn / fadeOut - 15 years ago
There is no option available for creating a continuous FESDesertIllusion, but it will be taking in consideration for FlashEff next pattern update. It will most probably be called FEFDesertIllusion. By the way, if you have any more ideas for new patterns please tell us, they might be added at our next pattern update, which will be soon.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: FEBColor number in hexa - 15 years ago
We found a bug at our Panel. It seems that if you change the color a few times it does not work as it should. My colleagues are looking into the matter as we speak and they will release the fix at our next update. To get past that bug you need to close the panel and reopen it, this way you will be able to change the color again.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Apply Hide pattern to entire stage?? - 15 years ago
As I recall you were just introduced to Flash, and what Negush suggested is dedicated to the more experienced AS3 coders. The easiest way to do the thing you want to do is by creating a movieclip like you have already done in your example(I am talking about the bkgr1), and then put inside of that movieclip the rest of the movieclip with the components (in your example there was only one other movby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Apply Hide pattern to entire stage?? - 15 years ago
Quote:If you are referring to the FlashEff component on the timeline movieclip named"bkgr1", then this is not a solution. Putting a delayed hide on that object does indeed hide it, but it does nothing to the other objects on the stage (in this case only 1: "come"). You can always do the same thing with the "come cruise with us" text as well. And If I may add anotherby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Re: Looping Finished Movie Using Actionscript - 15 years ago
If you would did a quick search you would have found a lot of ways to create a loop. Here is another way: listen to the Transition End listener of the component. myEffect is the FlashEff component instance name. myEffect.addEventListener(FLASHEFFEvents. TRANSITION_END, transitionEndHandler); function transitionEndHandler(evtObj:FLASHEFFEvents): void { if(myEffect.currentTransitionType==&qby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Problem using FESSquareFade in a class - 15 years ago
DrPunchman, Here's quick fix to your problem: open your fla file; open Actions go to the 16th line of your code, delete it. Go to the 17th line and change it to: FloatHere_mc[ "f" + i ].visible = false; Compile and your done!by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: TxEff2 problems - 15 years ago
ktburns, Here's what you'll do: You will create enough frames on the time line that it will automatically reinitialize the FlashEff component. In your example you had you frame rate set at 32 fps and your animation was 2 second long, that means that for the show transition you will need 2 x 32 = 64 frames. That's for the show, now you will have to do the same for the delay( 2 seconds x 32 fpsby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Looping multiple images - 15 years ago
Create a blank keyframe on the last frame, the 6th I think, and add the following lines: myTimer.reset():void gotoAndPlay("1") We had to remove your attachments because you were using premium patterns.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Apply Hide pattern to entire stage?? - 15 years ago
Hi sjr, I can answer your question. You only have to set the hide effect from the FlashEff component on the top left. Here is what you should do: Select the top- left component(the one that creates the show effect for the entire page) Set the delay whatever you want( long enough to display the cruise whit us text and picture), do this by clicking the Hide tab than on the second row go to tby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Flash CS4 - component not showing up - 15 years ago
For the users who have Windows Vista here is the folder configuration where your FlashEff should be: C:\Users\yourUser\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Components\FlashEff Patterns\ If this work please come back and let us know.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

We have testet the component on a bunch om Mac's but none of them seem to have your problem. I think your problem is OS related rather then FlashEff related.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Importing Flash Eff - 15 years ago
There is a tutorial on how to do something similar with what you wanna do, the only difference is that the tutorial is for TxEff2, a similar tool created by Jumpeye Components. Here is the link: If you have any trouble with that let me know.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Is it always best practice to wrap a mc and Flasheff component into another mc? - 15 years ago
It will not run any smoother it will just make your .fla file look more organized and of course that error is removed. But if you do not have many FlashEff instances in your .fla creating a new MC and wrapping the FlashEff and the target in the new created mc is not a requirement.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
