That's because when exporting an avi movie, Flash only exports stuff that is on the timeline, while FlashEff has many complex classes attached that does the animation.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Hi I'm sorry you feel this way about FlashEff, but when FlashEff was created everyone knew there will be people that weren't going to be pleased, there were going to be people that were upset because they can't do more things with it, that is too basic, other people say that is to hard to use( as yourself) but most of the people are thrilled with the component. Put the FlashEff and the target in the same swf that you are going to load in another swf and just loaded as you normally would the effect will load as soon as the swf is loaded.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

It's true, sometimes FlashEff reacts with other FlashEff instances, the best way to avoid this is to put them in separate MovieClips. You are right, this is not covered in the tutorials, but you can get a lot of information about this from the forums.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

You need to specify the zoomDuration parameter in order for the End Event to be dispatched. FlashEffInstance.zoomDuration= 0.5; zoomDuration is between 0 and 1.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

I will need more information to give you a proper answer, I need to know how are you sliding the images, if you are using frames just make a listener on the 'stop' button and than add stop() in the function, the effect is removed by calling the remove() function. Put a stop() on the top of the frame and then add an event listener on the Hide effect , When it's done just play() the timeline again. Hey, I've looked at your file and it works fine for me, wierd. The truck slides to the left and there are also some animations on th text. All works fine for me. Make sure you don't use any classes, press Ctrl+U and go to action script, than go to AS3 and remove any links you have there( or add a letter and remove it when ever you need that class).by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Delete the images and everything else from the library, you have more than 20 pictures that you do not use in the exported clip. Delete the TXEff component too.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

You will need one textfield that has all the characters that you will use embeded and the add the FlashEff component on that textfield. Load the xml files and take the text from the xml and put it in( it would be something like this yourTextField.text = xmlText) Don't start the transition until the xml is loaded 100%.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

I had the exact problem the only diference was that I was running Vista on my machine. The main problem is your Flash being installed in Spanish, if you can, you should reinstall Flash CS4 in English, this will salve a lot of problems with future components that you might use. Make sure the FlashEff and the target are in the same frame and if possible have the animation stop while the FlashEff transition happens, if not make sure you have enough frames after the animation starts so it's not cut off before it ends.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Let's say you have your tween starting at frame one. Let it tween till it reaches frame 25(or whatever frame is) and then put a stop(); there(in the actions panel). There just drag the FlashEff component over you image and let it play. If this does not work you can try adding a new frame that is exactly how the 25 frame looks like, and on the 26 frame add the component and the stop() in actionby Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Hi mikes02, I looked over your files and the banners look really nice, but I've noticed your concern about the need for improvement...having 620 frames for 4 sliding images is to much. Here are a few tips: First of all you really don't need more than one frame, all you have to do is listen to the on end event of the component and start the next effect. There might be a problem with the installed FlashEff component. Please go to your Extension Manager and remove FlashEff, after you've done that go and reinstall FlashEff. If this does not salve you're problem please tell me your settings: The language of your OS(what OS are you using) the language of your Flash, and what version of Flash do you have( CS3 or CS4).by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Yeah, if you have many instances of FlashEff on the stage it's recommended that you put each instance of FlashEff and it's target in to a separate symbol.by Ionut - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Hi, There a well documented method called removeEffect(). It removes all tweens and stops all animations. There are actually two variations of this method that does almost the same thing, I don't know exactly which one you'll like better but you can use on of two (actually you can use both, but one of them would be useless).
