Any way to copy effects to as 2.0

Probably a stupid question but I have a client who has a banner that was done with effects using Flash Eff in AS 3. he asked if I could convert the file to work in AS 2 and I told him no. Just writing here to make sure.

Unfortunately AS3 files can not be converted to AS2 files. Also most of the FlashEff effects are not achievable in AS2.
