It would be awesome if there were a .copy() method on each effect which would return a new, deep-copied instance of the specified effect or filter to aid in applying a single effect to multiple display objects.

Yeah,that would be a great feature, we will think of adding this feature in our next updates but until then you can use copy method from the panel.
