Bug in FESFlashSlide?
November 17, 2008 10:55PM
When I use FESFlashSlide on a object, the object appears on stage an instant before the show effect happens. Ruins the effect...

Is there a way to fix this?

Try setting the targetVisibility property to false or uncheck the target is visible option from the Miscellaneous tab.

That didn't fix the problem.

Setting the alpha of the movieclip solves the problem, but this makes it a pain since I can no longer see the MC on the stage anymore...

Yes, that is a good solution too, because the show effect actually hides the target clip and then shows it. Though I think the problem is that FlashEff does not have enough time to initialize. I'm guessing you placed the component and target movie clip on the first frame - try placing them on the second frame, like this post says: http://www.flasheff.com/forum/read.php?23,453,453#msg-453.

Whether it's on the 1st frame or the 10th frame, it still has the same bug.

This could really be a rendering problem of Flash. Please contact the support team (support [at] jumpeyecomponents [dot] com) and try to send them your source files. They will surely try to help you out.
