You need to have FESAlpha pattern in the library before you compile the clip. Make sure you drag it in the library from the components panel.

There aren't any XML & FLashEff2 examples but it should be made the same way you'd do with FlashEff .
There are lots of examples in the FlashEff1 forum.
If you still can't figure it out let me know.
