Flash animation flashes before transition

Hello,
I'm currently using the FESRoundedSquareScale effect, and I only want to use the hide portion of it, but when I check off Show, and only have Hide on, the amination flashes before the transition starts.

Is there any way to just have my animation automatically hide instead of having to do a show animation first... I want have the full movie clip up, then the only transition that happens is he hide transition.

Nevermind... stupid mistake on my part. I just needed to add another layer with the colored background.
