MCTE Show/Hide + Layers

MCTE Show/Hide + Layers

Since I'm still a bit confused with all the flashEff/txEff/AS2/AS3 thing, I'm just asking if I'm doing this right.

I need to do a AS2 Banner (Flash8 req.), so I have to ditch those cool AS3 texteffects and use flashEff.
I create some text, covert to movieclip, drag the green MCTE square over it, set a transition effect (MCTEPatternClouds, for example), and it works.

Now I want to remove the text, so I finally figured out I need to do the "hide" sequence on a new layer.

Is this correct?
(Just for the record, I do all this with the timeline and drag/drop. I guess scripting would be 200 times faster/easier, but I lack the skillz.)

EDIT: I also figured out, the last frame of the "show" instance and the first frame of the "hide" sequence must not overlap. Is this the "secret"?

I'm sorry but FlashEff is AS3 only, so, unfortunately it will not work on AS2 projects
You'll have to make the banner by yourself... or you can use the MCTE component for AS2
