File sizes are VERY large - Help!
April 20, 2009 03:34AM
Hello, I purchased a license for FlashEff this weekend and published my first swf. I am using the Magic Wand effect on two words of text -- a very simple animation. However, the resulting file is far too large: 248K. Obviously I am doing something wrong somewhere, so thanks for your help.

Also, FYI, it often takes as much as 15 minutes to publish/export this movie. Usually, MUCH more complicated swfs process in a matter of seconds.

Sorry, meant Magic Wind. Attached is the resulting swf. Obviously, 256k for a small text animation is obviously not a good idea.

Delete the images and everything else from the library, you have more than 20 pictures that you do not use in the exported clip. Delete the TXEff component too.

But the resulting swf does not use those images. Does it retain the unused flasseff effects in the final swf?

Also, can you tell me how to loop an effect?

Don't leave any unused files in the library, it will only take up space. Also, make sure that there are no unused patterns imported.
