To use MC or Dynamic Text?

Most of what I'm using Flasheff for involves just text. But watching the tutorials they tend to box text up as movie clips and then attach the component. I'm just wondering what the benefits/drawbacks to that method are over applying it directly to dynamic embedded text.

Also I tend to have multiple effects going on at once, for example a paragraph of text may load in and certain keywords in the paragraph may have their own effects going on. Right now I load in the bigger text then time the show effect of the specific words using the timeline (actually everything I do involves added up seconds x fps). Its tricky when using effects like Alpha that randomize what comes in but its not horrible. I'm just wondering if anyone has a better way to achieve this same effect (it is similar to the txEff banner on the main Jumpeye webpage).
