Keep a movie clip invisible until the effect shows - 14 years ago
I have a movie clip that I don't want to be visible until the show effect begins. Seems reasonable right? So I do this: myMovieClip.visible = false. That works, of course. But when I add the effect to the movie clip like this: effect.target = myMovieClip; //or effect._targetInstanceName = myMovieClip.name; That makes the movie clip visible on stage, even with effect.showAutoPlay = falsby jlnelson19 - FlashEff 2.0
Don't automatically start the show transition - 14 years ago
How can you set effect.target without having it start the show transition? I want to set the target, but not execute the transition until some mouse event occurs.by jlnelson19 - FlashEff 2.0
Using FlashEff2Code anywhere besides the Document Class - 14 years ago
How do you do it? If I have a custom class that extends Sprite, I want to apply effects to some of the movie clips I add to this class. I get errors like this: import FlashEff2Code; 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: FlashEff2Code.by jlnelson19 - FlashEff 2.0
