eventlistener and "mytext.text"

sorry, i've tried to find something but my english don't let my find nothing! :P
tested the component "lone" function very well! but when i try to assign a text insert it in a listener like this

my_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, my_fun);
  function my_fun (e:MouseEvent):void{
  mytext.text = "this is my text";
  ...

doesn't go... why?!?!? :'(
understand tha must control "command" parameter in flasheff window's component? but how?
