ReferenceError: Error #1065: "some effect" is not defined. = Nightmare!

I have wasted a lot time with this plugin as deadlines loom. Periodically crashing Flash CS4 and constantly giving me "Error #1065" messages makes me wonder if this software still in beta. I'm running on a Mac Leopard 10.5.7, 2.4 GHz, 4 GBs RAM. Any thoughts of what I doing wrong?

I also get a message "5005: Unknown error optimizing byte code.

The 5005 error appears when FlashEff2 component is used inside a file that is based on a large amount of frames.
To avoid this from happening select each component and it's target and hit F8 to create a new symbol.
