Re: A complete button with FlashEFF - 15 years ago
Unfortunately you won't be able to do this with FlashEff. You can use button patterns with FlashEff to make animations for rollOver and rollOut only. If you would like to have rollOver, rollOut and press/release animations you could do that with FlashEff but it would require to write code that would change between three or four FlashEff instances and apply the animations by code.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Flash CS4 - component not showing up - 15 years ago
This is quite curious. Please write to the support team (support jumpeyecomponents com) about this and they'll try to help as soon as possible.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Max number of instances - 15 years ago
Unfortunately I didn't find such a setting in Flash CS4. This is quite a problem. Maybe it would help if you would place each individual FlashEff - target object into its own movie clip, so the movie clips would act as containers for each FlashEff animation. Please let us know if this helps.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Looping can anyone help - 15 years ago
With FlashEff you can only do it if you use three different FlashEff animations (three different FlashEff instances on the stage). Once your last animation is done (you reach the last frame) you can call the gotoAndPlay() function to navigate to the frame where the second FlashEff animation starts. The gotoAndPlay() function should receive the number of the frame where you want to navigate to (orby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: can't use button function inside relection :( please help me - 15 years ago
As I've seen, you are using the FEFReflection filter together with the FEBWaterDrops button pattern. Now, when you add a button pattern to the target clip, the listeners you add by code no longer work because FlashEff will use the button pattern instead. In this case, what you can do is define your CLICK functionality inside a function and use the FECFunctionCall command pattern to call that funcby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Re: no flasheff panel on flash CS4 !! - 15 years ago
If you are using a different language version of Adobe Flash than English, then this knowledge base item should help you out: https://www.jumpeyecomponents.com/knowledgebase/*-Flash-~-general-use-problems/After-installation-components-do-not-show-up-in-Components-panel~1051/.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: having problem AS 3 when using the flasheef component - 15 years ago
This is quite strange since the component shouldn't interfere with any AS3 code you write. Is the text animation running in your file ? and only the gotoAndPlay() call is not working ? (it's gotoAndPlay and not gotoAndplay). Also, make sure that your project is an AS3 project and not AS2.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Flash CS4 - component not showing up - 15 years ago
We have a knowledge base item that might help you out: https://www.jumpeyecomponents.com/knowledgebase/*-Flash-~-general-use-problems/After-installation-components-do-not-show-up-in-Components-panel~1051/. This is in case you are using Flash with a different language version than English. Otherwise the component and patterns should all be available in the Components panel.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Flash CS3 - crashing - 15 years ago
Unfortunately there really aren't any solutions to this problem. We've had reports of Adobe Flash CS4 crashing on Windows Vista 64 but there's nothing really that we can do about it. It could be a problem with Adobe Flash itself. The same goes for Adobe Flash CS3, though we've been using Flash CS3 on Windows XP and Mac OSX without having such problems. Also tested it on Windows Vista, but it workby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Flash player (ver 9.0.16.0) compatibility - 15 years ago
We always recommend using the latest version of Flash Player. Anyway, you should have at least Flash Player version 9.0.45 installed but it's still better to have Flash Player 10 play your animations so you can be make sure that they will display correctly.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Any tutorials? - 15 years ago

Re: Trying to set up a simple cross-fading slideshow - 15 years ago
We do have documentation on the component and a lot of video tutorials, but if you could specify what exactly would it work better, we would really appreciate your input.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: making a flip button with reflect - 15 years ago
Unfortunately with script you could only apply the show/hide transitions. However, the show hide transitions, would need to be very well synchronized to replicate the button flip.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: making a flip button with reflect - 15 years ago
Unfortunately button effects are only applied on mouse roll over and roll out and that cannot be changed. Maybe we'll come up with a Flip command in the future that could be applied on press and release too.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Trying to set up a simple cross-fading slideshow - 15 years ago
Tried out your scenario and it seemed to be working just fine. Didn't get that error message. Please make sure that the swap target (image2) really exists on the same frame as the FlashEff instance for image1. The error message means simply that the swap target was not found.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Looping/stopping with only 1 frame - 15 years ago
Oh, in that case it's quite simple. Extend the frames (add non-keyframes) that would cover the whole length of your animation. So for example if your last animation starts at 12 seconds from the beginning of the entire animation and lasts for 6 seconds (hide transition included) than you would have to add extra frames that would cover 18 seconds worth of animation. The number of frames depend onby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Looping/stopping with only 1 frame - 15 years ago
It depends on how did you write the code for your current animation. You should have an init() or startAnimations() function which initializes the animations and starts the first animation. Listen for the TRANSITION_END animation to know when the transition is done. Then, start the second animation and the third and so on... Finally, when the last animation is over, call that init() or startAnimaby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Looping/stopping with only 1 frame - 15 years ago
All you have to do is listen for the TRANSITION_END event dispatched by the last animation. Then, you need to start the animations again - use the same code that drives the animations (some startAnimations() or init() function would be good to have).by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Happy I could help you out. Good luck with it.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Timeline-based effects and user pausing? - 15 years ago
No, there is no such property that would tell you how much of the transition is complete. The component dispatches events for the start and end of a transition and the duration of the transition is done by the tweenDuration property.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Newest CS3 Upgrade Erased FlashEff From Components! - 15 years ago
Yes, the components are all ActionScript 3.0 components so you need to make sure that the created files are for Flash Player 9 and ActionScript 3.0, otherwise you'll only have the AS 2.0 components displayed in the Components panel. Thanks for sharing this.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Timeline-based effects and user pausing? - 15 years ago
The FlashEff and TxEff components and all of their patterns are code based components. This means that they can execute in a timeline animation but they are not tied to the timeline (they could just as well execute on a single frame). Also, they do not have a pause feature, the only way for them to stop is to remove the effect from the target object.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: effects run at differeent times on different PCs - 15 years ago
I've tested the files you sent and the .fla that was out of time in the text field did run differently in browsers. I've tested the animation in the stand alone Flash Player 9.0.115 and the Flash player 10 I had in my browsers. Here's the result of the test: - Google Chrome build 0.4.154.29 (Flash Player 10) - Win XP SP3 - banner runs slightly faster than in the stand alone Flash Player(9.0.115)by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Font size and spacing is altered after flasheff is applied :( - 15 years ago
You could scale directly the text field ;)by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: Problem: Ghost Image Under Animated Buttons - 15 years ago
Well, first of all try adding the FlashEff instances starting with the second frame. Also, the fact that your clip seems to be looping might generate that problem. You should stop the clip at the frame your buttons are, until you need to navigate to another frame and you only need to place one instance of the buttons with their corresponding FlashEff instances on one frame and leave it availableby negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: How do I get the Button tab - 15 years ago
You bought TxEff2, which is the text animation tool (only works on text). FlashEff is the one that can be used to create buttons and apply filters and commands. You need to use FlashEff, not TxEff2. The video tutorials are all made with Flasheff and TxEff2 works exactly the same but only with the text animation part.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Re: FESScale - 15 years ago
No, you cannot. The scaling of the target object is changed from the smallest scale value to the current value of the target (usually it's the normal value - 1.0). If you would like to have the target scale to a another scale value, you only have to change the scaleX and scaleY values before applying FlashEff (in he Flash IDE you can use the Transform panel or by using AS3 code: target.scaleX = 1by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: effects run at differeent times on different PCs - 15 years ago
The animations also depend on the CPU. Because some animations are more CPU intensive than others, some slower computers might have a hard time displaying the animation as it should. However, there shouldn't be a big difference between the animations running on different computers.by negush - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
