Re: Paid for FlashEff2.0 but I get this message everytime. Now what? - 14 years ago
Just a quick heads up: I downloaded the new file, and found the MXP folder. Since you didn't explain how or where to install it, I took a guess and double clicked the .MXP folder. It went through a bit of a routine and then the Adobe Extension Manager came up and gave me this message: "This extension cannot be installed, since it conflicts with existing one. You are trying to change the effect settings of a FlashEff2 FREE component. To update your file automatically, go to FlashEff2 Panel and click Menu > Update fla for each file that you need to change. Before this, please make sure that you have installed the last version of FlashEff2. How do I resolve this?by mikekmikek - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Cross dissolve? - 14 years ago
I did that too. The text is the easy part, just create another layer like you would in any Flash project and go to work with the effects. BTW, here in a nutshell is how you do the crossfade: To get Images that fade in and out of each other, first, put each image on a separate layer. Then look at your frames per second setting. Yes, I finally figured it out. Thank you. I posted my entire process for creating a slide show in a reply to the "please help...new at this" thread. BTW, the process of actually creating a slide show using EFF2.0 might be a good tutorial for you guys to have on your site.by mikekmikek - FlashEff 2.0

OK - I just got it. Here's the trick - it's all in the math. I set my frame rate to 25fps to make the math a little easier. Again, you will put each picture in the slide show on a separate layer and make a movie component out of each. Set your EFF2.0 ALPHA settings to SHOW-> 0 delay, HIDE ->2.0 delay (this will show the picture for 2 seconds before it fades out) The default ALPHA settingby mikekmikek - FlashEff 2.0

I am doing the same thing; I am almost there but there are a few glitches. This is how I am doing it, but I think there has to be a more elegant way which eludes me. Maybe a more experienced Flash user can clue us in. First, you will need to have each picture or "slide" on it's own layer. So create a new layer, and create a key frame on frame 2 (this gives EFF time to load up. Place yoby mikekmikek - FlashEff 2.0
