Re: Loop. Images stay one over each other. - 14 years ago
Thanks Ionut, I will take a look at that. Do you happen to remember the thread title, I did a search for your name and there are 13 pages worth of results :)by mikes02 - FlashEff 2.0

One last question. Preloading... I believe I have heard that FlashEFF animations start playing through even before a preloader is done working? Is that true? What is the best way to preload for animations such as this?by mikes02 - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Loop. Images stay one over each other. - 14 years ago
Thank you! That is EXACTLY what I wanted. How did you know how far in to put the image that lays underneath? I noticed you put it about 50 frames in, was that calculated, or is it just kind of trial and error? Thank you very much for all of your help.by mikes02 - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Loop. Images stay one over each other. - 14 years ago
Here is my latest try, it is looping the way I want it to, however, it is fading to a white canvas before showing the next image, I want it to fade right into the next image without ever revealing the white canvas... Here is my file: FLA File Another question to add to this would be, what if one of these needed to feature a button, how could you add a button that was only functional while tby mikes02 - FlashEff 2.0

Do you have a link to the example file? If it were to be done on the timeline, how do you know how many frames to use per image?by mikes02 - FlashEff 2.0
Loop. Images stay one over each other. - 14 years ago
I have struggled with this and cannot figure out how I can do this. I want to have maybe 5 or 6 images, with each image using one of the animations to reveal the next image below. So lets say I have 6 images, and for the purpose of the question I will say I want to fade it out to reveal the next image below (in reality I would probably use one of the cooler effects), and then fade that one outby mikes02 - FlashEff 2.0
Re: Suggestions for FlashEFF - 14 years ago
My frustration late last night may have led to an angrier post than I intended. I do feel that FlashEFF is lacking on the help side of things as far as tutorials go, I think they should provide more advanced tutorials explaining what you are trying to explain to me, but anyway... The biggest thing I try to do with FlashEFF are image transitions without the image going to a blank screen beforeby mikes02 - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Suggestions for FlashEFF - 14 years ago
FlashEFF has been a very difficult thing for me to get a grasp of, maybe some people find it easy, but I definitely do not. I feel that the tutorials are far too basic and that there is not enough help available to get a firm grasp on it, and in the times I have posted on the forums I have received little help to guide me in the right direction, even Google doesn't provide me with anything that cby mikes02 - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
Re: How could I have done these better? - 14 years ago
This doesn't make any sense to me, I don't understand why FlashEFF would be developed in an effort to make Flash easier but then you have to know all this Actionscript just to get it to work properly........by mikes02 - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Re: How could I have done these better? - 14 years ago

How could I have done these better? - 14 years ago
I am relatively new to FlashEFF and I am looking for ways to improve my ability to work with it along with speeding up the process. I have uploaded to of my files for anyone to download and take a peak at. Download Source File 1 Problem: Huge timeline and a whole bunch of guessing, basically I just messed with this thing for hours until the timeline basically did what I wanted it to, but Iby mikes02 - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)

Beginner Questions - 15 years ago
I was playing around with FlashEff, when I view my movie in Flash using (ctrl+enter) the movie plays fine, when I export and view the swf file, the movie says FlashEff up in the top left corner and all the text just sits there blinking, what am I doing wrong? Also, I watched the banner creation video, but how do you know how many frames to make each layer in order for your text animation to plby mikes02 - FlashEff 1 (Discontinued version)
