Reuse textfield for effect (or reapply)

I'm using a textfield as a header. Showing text with effect ( using effect.show() ) and hiding text with effect ( using effect.hide() ).

But I can't seem to apply the effect the second time around for the show effect, but the hide effect works ok.

Can anyone shed some light on how to properly target a textfield a second time (clearing the text content, filling in new text and animate the whole thing again)?

Forgot to follow the topic (why can't one do this afterwards without having to post again?).

I'm can't say for sure why this is happening unless I see the source file(fla file). So, open a ticket and try to send us the source file and we will take a look.

I'm about to make a clean fla that I'll send you.
