TextField gets detached from parent movieclip?

I have a strange behavior (probably not as I guess the whole textfield is split into atoms behind the scenes).

I'm centering a movieclip on stage resize. That movieclip contains a FlashEff2 TextField. But when I add the FlashEff2 effect to the TextField, the textfield stays put.

The TextField follows along fine when I remove the effect.

How do I get around this strange behavior? I guess it's by design on your side, right!?

Can it be true, that a textfield gets detached from any parent movieclip when using FlashEff2? Then that would have to be fixed.
