How can you set effect.target without having it start the show transition? I want to set the target, but not execute the transition until some mouse event occurs.
There is a "autoPlay" parameter which determines if the show transition starts or not right after the target was set. You will have to set that parameter to false then use the show method in order to launch the show transition in certain moment. A good example about how to use that property can be found in the "Action Script3.0 Usage.pdf" file which is included in the FlasHEff2 downloaded package.
