Unfortunately you can not apply two effects on a target object in the same time but you could try to apply one of the effect directly on the target then place the target together with the flasheff instance into another container then apply another flasheff effect on that container. This method could work with a few combination of patterns but there could also be patterns that uses bitmapdata and which can not be used in this kind of scenarios.
