how to fade 2 blocks of text together?

I am new to flash and i want to basically fade 2 blocks of text together, as one fades out the other fades in. I have created 2 layers with the first block and put the component to show and hide, then on another layer when the animation ends the second beings but for some really odd reason the animation gets cut off, i mean the text gets cut off, its not all shown, i have no idea why, I am not talking about the duration being cut off but the actual number of characters, at one point i even used the same sentence the first animation as a test and yet it still got cut off, wtf??

Make sure you embed both text of the textfields.
If the last line of text is not shown make the textfield bigger(increase the height of the textfield).
To make on appear after another set the delay of the second one to be the same or bigger than the tween duration of the first animation.
If I didn't make my self clear enough please let me know and I'll try to come up with a bigger explination.
