Make FlashEff work on multiple scenes

The attached file contains an example of how to use FlashEff with multiple scenes animations.

If you create your animations with FlashEff instances placed directly on the stage together with their target objects (text fields, sprites, movie clips) then the animations from the Scene 1 will work without problems but the animations from all the other scenes will no longer work. As a workaround for this problem, you need to place all the target object - FlashEff instance pairs into their own container movie clips. Meaning that you take the first FlashEff instance together with its target object and transform them into a Movie Clip. Then you take the next FlashEff instance and its target object and transform them into another Movie Clip and so on...

Please note that we do not recommend using multiple scenes with our components but if you do not have a choice and need to use multiple scenes, this could be a good workaround. However, it is possible that it will not work every time or for all of our FlashEff patterns (or third party patterns).

Any chance of someone putting this into a video tutorial?

This is above and beyond but I'm getting stuck and seeing someone actually performing the task would be very helpful

Thanks

The task is quite simple: select the FlashEff component instance from the stage together with its target object (text field or movie clip) and convert them to a symbol (movie clip). Here are a few tutorials that might help you out: http://www.flashvault.net/tutorial.asp?ID=144, http://www.flasherdot.org/T/06_MovieClips_AS3.htm, http://www.smartwebby.com/Flash/movieclip_symbols.asp.

Thank you for this post, because this is precisely the issue I encountered and had to place the scene utilizing the FlashEff components as the first scene until I could check on an answer. The solution you provided worked for me. Thanks!!!
