FlashEff SDK just launched. Create your own FE pattern and win $2500 (1 reply)

FlashEff is built to allow any developer to create his own custom FE patterns and share them with the FlashEff community. Whether you like to offer them for free or you want to sell them through other parties, it's fine with us. You can use and distribute your own custom patterns as you whish.

To create and test your own custom FE pattern you will also need the FlashEff component and panel, so, if you don't have it already, you can download it free. Please note that advanced AS3.0 skills, good understanding of OOP programming and XML knowledge are required.

FE Pattern Contest! Win $2500!

The contest submissions are open till October 31st 2008, you are required to submit your patterns to dev[at]flasheff[dot]com before this date in order to get a chance to win $2500. (3 prizes available*)

Each winner will get $2000 cache and $500 in discount coupons to be spent on JumpeyeComponents.com

Also, all eligible submitted patterns will be instantly rewarded with a copy of FlashEff Premium Unlimited.
To get approved as eligible, each pattern have to meet the following rules:

1. You have to make sure it works correctly with FlashEff. Patterns that have functional issues will not be approved.
2. It is owned/developed by the same person/company that submits it.
3. The code should be open for us to evaluate.
4. No third party code should be used unless you have a written agreement that lets you use it.
5. You have to make sure it is not an illegal copy or a very similar approach as another pattern.
6. It should be submitted before October 31st 2008.

To select the best patterns from those that will be found eligible, we will evaluate each pattern by the following criteria: uniqueness, artistic look, visual quality, code quality and most of all: popularity. The final decision will be given by popularity, by vote. After October 31st we will publish all the submitted patterns as swf movies for people to choose between them and vote. The patterns earning the most votes will win.

*Up to 3 prizes are available as follows: Not more than 1 prize for each 10+ participants, 2 for 20+ and 3 for 30+. So, for example if only 10 participants have patterns that are eligible for the contest, only 1 prize will be given. One participant can win only one prize (even if he submits more patterns, this will indeed increase the chances to win)

Important! At least 1 but not more than 3 prizes will be given as stated above.

Figures about JumpeyeComponents (1 reply)

JumpeyeComponents is the fastest growing company that develops third party Flash extensions (especially components).
We've started from 2005 with some few components and few customers. Now we have a new visitor each minute, and a new member each 15 minutes.
Our best seller product, TxEff component is used in thousands of websites, by the best flash developer/designers out there.

With FlashEff we want to help this great community and give something back. This is why FlashEff is free, and includes 30 patterns from start; this way anyone can use it without the need to buy it. However, for those that want the maximum of what FlashEff can do, we highly recommend FlashEff Premium. (with over 100 patterns)

Our plan is to have 100.000 FlashEff users by the end of 2008, and about 300.000 in June, next year.
We also plan (and already working on) to enlarge the FlashEff product family with new products that will allow users to use complex animations within their Flash and Flex applications/websites.

Our main focus/challange is to enable "Flash For All". To allow coded animations to be used from a visual interface for those that don't have time or skills to do them on their own. FlashEff itself is a tool that lets users create video-quality animations at a very small filesize with no coding skills at all, just like you would do this on a software like PowerPoint or Keynote.
